Fun & Creativity
Art
Making art can drastically improve your child's fine motor skills and enhance their creative problem-solving abilities. Children will have opportunities to explore many different mediums throughout the day as they engage in open ended experiences.
Music & Movement
Research shows that exposure to music can also improve children's ability to learn. Music and movement instruction has been shown to improve children's memory, cognitive development, learning skills and expressive ability.
Science
In early childhood it is important that science activities be hands-on, child-driven, authentic, and active. Developmentally, young children learn and understand best from what they can see, touch, feel, and manipulate.
Language
Speech, language and communication skills are crucial to young children's overall development. Being able to speak clearly and process speech sounds, to understand others, to express ideas and interact with others are fundamental building blocks for a child's development. Your child will be exposed to songs, books, language development activities, visual aids and materials in other languages throughout the day.
Mathematics
Math is an important part of learning for children in the early years because it provides vital life skills. They will help children problem solve, measure and develop their own spatial awareness, and teach them how to use and understand shapes. Math is a part of the child’s every day life.
Outside Play
Physical play includes activities that use physical movements to allow children to use their energy, and it gives children the chance to develop gross and fine motor skills, learn new things and socialize. Physical play also benefits a child's health. Children will have the opportunity for physical play within the playroom as well as two outdoor sessions a day.
